Season 2 Premiers August 6

We’re excited to announce the return of Forget What You Learned: Reimagining Education for Today’s Families for Season 2, premiering August 6. This season we speak with a series of 10 guests, all of whom help us rethink the dynamics that are shaping (and often harming) kids today. We ask what role parenting plays in children’s academic success and how societal and familiar pressures burden kids. We take a hard look at the college admissions process and the Ivy League dream. We celebrate teachers and families doing things differently and look ahead with a hope: how can we not only reimagine education but reimagine success?

For those in search of some summer reading along these lines, take a peek at the resources recommended by our guests this season! Hot tip: the The Self-Driven Child: The Science and Sense of Giving Your Kids More Control Over Their Lives and Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic-and What We Can Do About It were both recommended by several guests and are a great place to start.
